Canada issues information notices on CPTPP poultry and dairy tariff rate quotas

In order to comply with commitments under the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) the Government of Canada established twenty new Tariff Rate Quotas (TRQs) for dairy and poultry products and determined how they will be allocated for the 2018/2019 and 2019 TRQ years.

Global Affairs Canada published a list of TRQs and applicable Notices to Importers for each TRQ. The Notices (available at the link below) set out the eligibility criteria to obtain an allocation under each respective TRQ.

The Notices also provide information on the administration of TRQs in general and on the process for submitting an application for an allocation. Application forms and related appendices are attached to each Notice.

Applications may be submitted to Global Affairs Canada by December 12th, 2018. Allocations will be issued on December 21, 2018.
