Customs Operations Support Clerk – Montreal

The Operations Support Clerk reports to the department Team Leader and plays a key role in the day to day operational requirements for the business.

Main responsibilities and tasks

  • Prepare department documentation
  • Customer service, responding to all internal and client inquiries via telephone and email
  • Coordinate the Customs clearance for shipments
  • Tracking the status of shipments
  • Perform billing functions including preparing customer invoices
  • Data entry
  • Help coordinate the activities with the processing team

Required skills 

  • Bilingual (French and English)
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent computer/data entry skills
  • 1-2 years’ experience in customer service and office clerk
  • Must have an understanding and appreciation for customer care
  • High school Diploma
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in transportation and/or logistics environment is an asset
  • Ability to set priorities and organize workload assigned in an efficient manner
  • Highly motivated team player
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast pace environment
