Air Freight Supervisor

The Supervisor is responsible for air cargo operations, business development and customer satisfaction. The primary task is to ensure that we have competent resources, efficient processes, workflows, and tools in place to provide world-class, cost-effective service to our customers.

The Supervisor will coordinate the development of the Air Freight department, commercial channels, onboarding of new customers, cross selling of the current customer base, pricing, and other value-added services within the company.

Main responsabilities

  • Management and development of the operational team
    • Assist team members with daily operations and problem solving by maintaining a positive work environment.
    • Lead business and operational process improvement, system, and workflow optimization.
    • Transfer knowledge of operations and customer profiles to management and team.


  • Business Development
    • Develop a network of highly reliable and profitable carriers.
    • Participate in pricing activities: negotiate competitive rates and agreements with various carriers.
    • Work with the business development team to identify new opportunities.
    • Identify cross-selling opportunities within the active customer base, participate in the sales process and close sales when necessary.


  • Departmental and Public Relations Management
    • Contribute to the creation of the annual budget and explanations of budget variations
    • Assist in departmental development projects: lead new projects and major quotes
    • Contribute to departmental documentation, strategic management, and customer satisfaction

Qualifications required

  • Bilingual English French
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of a good network of contacts in the international transit industry
  • CIFFA Advanced Certificate
  • Ability to manage a high volume of files on a daily basis
  • Focused on problem solving, continuous improvement
  • Autonomous, rigorous, resourceful and proactive
