Under the supervision of the Vice President Finance, you will provide leadership and support to employees and managers to ensure the coordination of all HR functions within the company.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Act as a resource person for all employees and answer questions related to the company’s programs and policies for the United States.
  • Advise managers on human resources management (employee relations, disciplinary measures, conflict management, application of policies and procedures) and propose solutions to problems
  • Compile and organize all information for the management and processing of Canadian and American payroll
  • Manage the various Canadian and American benefit plans
  • Participate with the Vice President of Administration in the development of various human resources programs
  • Coordinate training or information activities for managers and/or employees and design workshops on occasion
  • Participate in the coordination and organization of the organization’s cultural activities
  • Ensure the smooth running of the Human Resources department’s operations

 

Required skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or industrial relations or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience or more in human resources management within a small or medium-sized company
  • Very good knowledge of Word, Excel
  • Very good knowledge of payroll in Quebec, Ontario and the United States
  • Bilingualism, ability to communicate orally and in writing in French and English
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Autonomous, results-oriented and positive attitude
  • Problem solving and priority management skills
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Very good knowledge of the different standards governing work in Quebec, Ontario and the United States
  • Knowledge of the Employer D system an asset
