Under the supervision of the Ocean Import Supervisor, the Agent will be responsible for coordinating activities related to the operations of our customers.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Transmit required documentation related to the arrival of containers to all suppliers and customers
  • Communicate with ocean lines to ensure the release of cargo
  • Follow-up with agents
  • Review and approve invoices
  • Perform document management (collection of information from agents and customers, classification, consolidation management)
  • Assist ocean import team
  • Customer services (customer satisfaction management and customer expectations)
  • All other related tasks

Required skills

  • Bilingualism ( English and French)
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar position
  • Technical knowledge related to ocean transportation import/export (an asset)
  • Experience in a supervisory role (an asset)
  • College degree in transportation and logistics, certification (an asset)
  • Proficient in computer skills, knowledge MS Office
  • Customer-oriented and professional: answer the customer’s needs and expectations
  • Accountable, proactive, autonomous, productive, resourceful and organized
  • Team player, good communicator and good judgment
  • Ability to learn quickly
