The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced that it intends to adjust hours of service at 35 land ports of entry across Canada as of January 6, 2025. The announcement, determined in collaboration with the United States, will enhance overall security for both countries. The U.S. is also adjusting service hours at many of its ports of entry.<\/p>\n

These adjustments are based on an analysis of operational pressures, peak periods, and services required at the ports of entry, to minimize the impacts on border communities.<\/p>\n

Border crossings will be affected in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec and New Brunswick.<\/p>\n

Travellers will be affected by the new schedules at a each of the 35 land ports subject to the changes.<\/p>\n

Changes concerning commercial traffic operations are to take place at 8 of the land crossings.<\/p>\n
