It retroactively starts from April 2023 and runs through March 2027, ensuring labor stability at Canada\u2019s busiest trade gateway for at least the next two years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Details of the new four-year agreement have not been released, but both sides confirmed its ratification and signaled a willingness to move forward. \u201cWe look forward to working together to implement the terms of the agreement,\u201d BCMEA said in a brief statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The agreement follows a turbulent period, during which the\u00a0<a title=\"https:\/\/media.shipco.com\/labor-tensions-escalate-at-canadian-ports-on-east-and-west-coasts\/\" href=\"https:\/\/media.shipco.com\/labor-tensions-escalate-at-canadian-ports-on-east-and-west-coasts\/\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\">ILWU issued a 72-hour strike notice<\/a>\u00a0followed by the BCMEA announcing a full-scale defensive lockout of workers for all ports in the province.
