The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) posted on its website an updated page with the list of goods which are currently subject to its verification priorities.<\/p>\n

Through verifications the Agency assesses importers’ compliance with CBSA administered legislation, determines compliance within industry sectors and assesses the integrity of trade data received from importers.<\/p>\n

Verifications usually concern the tariff classification of imported goods, and their value for duty and their origin.<\/p>\n

In the updates to it’s trade compliance verifications web page for July 2025 the Agency added the following priorities:<\/p>\n

\u2022 United States Surtax Order (2025-01)
\n\u2022 United States Surtax Order (Steel and Aluminium 2025)
\n\u2022 United States Surtax Order (Motor Vehicles 2025)<\/p>\n
