An importer’s posted Financial Security for Release Prior to Payment (RPP) is reviewed yearly by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).<\/p>\n

The review period is goes from October 20 of a given year to October 19 of the following year.<\/p>\n

The updated requirement establishes the new minimum financial security to be provided to the CBSA.<\/p>\n

The newly calculated requirement will be communicated to the importers by way of notification on the CARM Client Portal (CCP) and will be effective on January 15th, date by which the importers are required to be compliant.<\/p>\n

Important<\/u>: To maintain the RPP benefits, importers must meet the new calculated requirement by January 15, 2026.<\/p>\n
