{"id":3536,"date":"2022-01-13T16:02:22","date_gmt":"2022-01-13T16:02:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/axxessintl.com\/?p=3536"},"modified":"2022-01-13T16:02:22","modified_gmt":"2022-01-13T16:02:22","slug":"larger-container-ships-bring-record-breaking-cargo-to-port-everglades","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/axxessintl.com\/en\/larger-container-ships-bring-record-breaking-cargo-to-port-everglades\/","title":{"rendered":"Larger container ships bring record-breaking cargo to Port Everglades"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Port Everglades celebrated the arrival of Mediterranean Shipping Company\u2019s container ship MSC Rachele.<!--more--><span id=\"more-30063\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Port says that, with the assistance of the Port\u2019s three new Super Post-Panamax gantry cranes and one existing Post-Panamax crane, more cargo containers will move across Port Everglades\u2019 docks from a single ship then anytime in the Port\u2019s history \u2013 4,849 containers, which equates to nearly 9,000 TEUs.<\/p>\n<p>It will take 72 hours to complete the off-load and loading process on the 1,095-foot-long MSC Rachele. The previous record took place on August 26, 2021, with nearly 3,000 container moves on another MSC ship.<\/p>\n<p>This is the second \u00ab\u00a0big\u00a0\u00bb first for the Port in a matter of weeks.
