{"id":3965,"date":"2022-02-08T14:00:18","date_gmt":"2022-02-08T14:00:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/axxessintl.com\/?p=3965"},"modified":"2022-02-08T14:00:18","modified_gmt":"2022-02-08T14:00:18","slug":"u-s-signals-possible-reduction-of-duties-on-canadian-softwood-lumber","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/axxessintl.com\/en\/u-s-signals-possible-reduction-of-duties-on-canadian-softwood-lumber\/","title":{"rendered":"U.S. signals possible reduction of duties on Canadian softwood lumber"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The U.S. Department of Commerce announced the preliminary results for the third administrative review of punitive duties imposed on Canadian softwood lumber.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>With some exceptions, it appears the U.S. plans to reduce tariffs for most Canadian softwood producers from almost 18 percent to a bit over 11 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Those are preliminary results and the Department of Commerce is not expected to issue final results until at least June 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Government conducts an annual review of anti-dumping and countervailing duty orders.
