{"id":5001,"date":"2022-06-21T17:13:47","date_gmt":"2022-06-21T17:13:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/axxessintl.com\/?p=5001"},"modified":"2022-06-21T17:13:47","modified_gmt":"2022-06-21T17:13:47","slug":"cfia-announces-change-in-prioritization-of-compliance-activities-for-manufactured-foods","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/axxessintl.com\/en\/cfia-announces-change-in-prioritization-of-compliance-activities-for-manufactured-foods\/","title":{"rendered":"CFIA announces change in prioritization of compliance activities for manufactured foods"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Effective November 1, 2022, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency&#8217;s (CFIA)\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/inspection.canada.ca\/covid-19\/cfia-information-for-industry\/sfcr-requirements-for-the-manufactured-food-sector\/eng\/1587501933865\/1587501934287\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">previously announced<\/a>\u00a0approach to the prioritization of compliance activities of the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR) requirements for the manufactured food sector (MFS) will end.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Businesses that have not yet applied for a licence under the Safe Food for Canadians Act (SFCA) are encouraged to do so as soon as possible to ensure they will comply with SFCR requirements.<\/p>\n<p>As of this date, the CFIA will conduct compliance activities in the MFS consistent with its long-standing\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/inspection.canada.ca\/about-cfia\/transparency\/regulatory-transparency-and-openness\/compliance-and-enforcement\/compliance-and-enforcement-policy\/eng\/1326788174756\/1326788306568\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Compliance and enforcement policy<\/a>\u00a0to respond to non-compliance with fairness, impartiality and transparency.
