In February 2022 the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) initiated an expiry review of its order made on April 7, 2017 concerning the dumping and subsidizing of certain pup joints originating in or exported from China.<\/p>\n

Following the Tribunal’s decision, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) initiated an expiry review investigation to determine whether the expiry of the order (and the removal of anti-dumping and countervailing duties) is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping and subsidizing of the subject goods.<\/p>\n

The investigation has now been completed and Agency has determined that the expiry of the finding is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping and the continuation or resumption of subsidizing of such goods originating in or exported from China.<\/p>\n

The Tribunal will now conduct an inquiry to determine whether the expiry of its order is likely to result in injury to the Canadian industry and will issue its decision by December 29, 2022.<\/p>\n
