{"id":6851,"date":"2023-04-04T19:28:53","date_gmt":"2023-04-04T19:28:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/axxessintl.com\/?p=6851"},"modified":"2023-04-04T19:28:53","modified_gmt":"2023-04-04T19:28:53","slug":"japan-reopens-full-access-to-canadian-processed-beef-exports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/axxessintl.com\/en\/japan-reopens-full-access-to-canadian-processed-beef-exports\/","title":{"rendered":"Japan reopens full access to Canadian processed beef exports"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada announced that Japan is reopening its doors to Canadian processed beef for the first time in two decades<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The development removes the last restrictions on Canadian beef that Japan put in place in 2003, after the discovery of a case of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) in Alberta.<\/p>\n<p>This expanded market access opportunity follows another loosening of restrictions in 2019, when Japan approved imports of Canadian beef from cattle older than 30 months.<\/p>\n<p>Japan is an important market for Canada and the world.
