According to Container xChange, an online container logistics platform for container trading and leasing, the holiday season will trigger an early burn-out of inventories in the U.S., which will kickstart inventory-replenishment cycles a bit sooner than the supply chain and shipping industry predicted.

This would cause an increase in demand in export hubs as shippers start to work on balancing their order-to-inventory ratio.
