In September 2025, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) initiated an expiry review of its finding made in November 2020 concerning the dumping of certain corrosion-resistant steel sheet from Türkiye and Vietnam, and the subsidizing of the aforementioned goods originating in or exported from Türkiye.
Following the Tribunals initiation, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) started it’s expiry review investigation to determine whether the expiry of the order is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping and/or subsidizing of the goods.
The CBSA’s investigation has now been completed and the Agency has determined that the expiry of the order is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping of such goods originating in or exported from Türkiye and Vietnam, and is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of subsidizing of such goods originating in or exported from Türkiye.
The CITT will now conduct an inquiry to determine whether the expiry of its order is likely to result in injury to the Canadian industry and will issue its decision by July 31, 2026.
