The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), initiated investigations respecting the alleged injurious dumping and subsidizing of renewable diesel from the United States.
The investigations follow a complaint filed by a Canadian manufacturer.
In the next step of the investigations the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) will determine, by May 5, 2025, whether the imports are harming Canadian producers.
Concurrently, the CBSA will investigate whether the imports are being sold in Canada at unfair prices and will make a preliminary decision by June 4, 2025.
Anti-dumping and countervailing duties could eventually be applied to the goods under investigation.
