Tribunal finds dumping of renewable diesel from the U.S. does not injure Canadian industry

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) determined that the evidence does not disclose a reasonable indication that the dumping and subsidizing of renewable diesel from the United States of America have caused injury or are threatening to cause injury to the domestic industry. Therefore, the Tribunal terminated its preliminary injury inquiry.

The Tribunal’s inquiry was conducted pursuant to the Special Import Measures Act as a result of the initiation of dumping and subsidizing investigations by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).

Having determined that there was no reasonable indication that the alleged dumping and subsidizing have caused or threaten to cause injury or retardation, the CBSA will terminate its dumping and subsidizing investigations and the Tribunal will not initiate a final injury inquiry.
