Tribunal issues final determination of injury on polyethylene terephthalate from China and Pakistan

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal announced it found that the dumping of polyethylene terephthalate, originating in or exported from China and Pakistan, and the subsidizing of the above-mentioned goods from China have caused or are threatening to cause injury to the domestic industry.

The Tribunal’s inquiry and finding follow the issuance by the President of the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) of a final determination of dumping issued on September 15, 2025.

Anti-dumping and/or countervailing duties will therefore be collected by the Canada Border Services Agency on importations of the subject goods.
