The Canadian International Trade Tribunal announced it found that the volumes of dumping of steel strapping, originating in or exported from South Korea and Vietnam, were negligible, as this word is defined in the Special Import Measures Act. Therefore, the Tribunal terminated its inquiry regarding the dumping of the above-mentioned goods originating in or exported from South Korea and Vietnam.
The Tribunal also found that the dumping of the above-mentioned goods originating in or exported from Türkiye, and the dumping and subsidizing of those goods originating in or exported from China, have caused injury to the domestic industry.
The Tribunal’s inquiry and finding follow the issuance by the President of the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) of a final determination of dumping and subsidizing issued on December 15, 2025.
Anti-dumping and countervailing duties will therefore be collected by the Canada Border Services Agency on importations of the subject goods.
