Valenciaport's total traffic was down 1.25 percent in October
Valenciaport's export container traffic increased by approximately 11.7% in October compared to the same period last year. In October, a total of 492,772 containers were handled by the Valencian terminals, of which 85,961 contained cargo destined for export.
The Port Authority of Valencia (APV) announced that total traffic in October amounted to 6,128,740 tons, representing a decrease of just over one percentage point (1.25%) compared to the previous month.
In cumulative terms so far this year Valenciaport has handled a total of 67,171,486 tons of cargo, reflecting a slight decrease compared to 2024 (-1.12%). The same cannot be said for container traffic, which has reached 4,779,759 units, 3.74% more than the previous year.
From a year-on-year perspective looking at traffic over the last 12 months Valenciaport has handled 79,903,482 tons (-0.85%); and in terms of containerized cargo, the Valencian terminals have handled 5,647,910 TEUs in the last year (+4.47%).
