CBSA and U.S. CBP announce an increase in NEXUS application fee

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced an increase in the NEXUS program application fee, from US$50 to US$120 effective October 1, 2024, subject to approval of regulatory amendments in the United States and Canada.

Reinvestigation of values of gypsum board from the United States

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) initiated a re-investigation to update the normal values and export prices of certain gypsum board from the United States, imported into Canada for use or consumption in the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, as well as the Yukon and Northwest Territories.

CBSA can help Canadian rights holders to fight counterfeit imports

Since most counterfeit goods are produced abroad, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has established a process under which intellectual property rights holders/owners can ask the Agency to temporarily detain suspected counterfeit and/or pirated goods encountered at the border while the rights holders/owners seek legal redress.
