The Canadian International Trade Tribunal determined that the dumping of oil country tubular goods, originating in or exported from Austria, has not caused and is not threatening to cause injury to the domestic industry.
As the Tribunal found no domestic injury, anti-dumping duties will not be collected by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).
On January 21, 2022 the CBSA had made a final determination of dumping of the oil country tubular goods from Austria.
However, two conditions need to exist in order for anti-dumping and/or countervailing duty to be applied to imported goods. The first is the confirmation that the goods are being sold under a fair price (dumped) and/or subsidized, and the second that the dumping and/or subsidies cause harm to the Canadian industry.
