The Canadian International Trade Tribunal initiated an expiry review of its order made in September 2019 to determine if the expiry of the order is likely to lead to continued or resumed dumping or subsidizing of thermoelectric coolers and warmers (thermoelectric containers) from China and if this would be likely to result in injury to the domestic industry.
In the first step of the review the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) will determine, by December 24, 2024, if there is a likelihood of resumed or continued dumping or subsidizing if the Tribunal’s order is left to expire.
In the event of a positive determination, the Tribunal will determine, no later than June 2, 2025, whether the continued or resumed dumping or subsidizing is likely to result in injury to the domestic industry.
