Please take note of the current situation affecting certain imports to Montreal destined for CN Rail container yards.
In order to decongest the terminals and ensure better fluidity in the flow of goods, CN has opened a new container yard in Valleyfield (Montreal area).
This allows CN to divert containers at their discretion to the container yard in Valleyfield and unfortunately, there are additional charges associated with this.
CN requires a guarantee of $550 per unit and it is quite possible that truckers charge additional fees to pick up and return empty containers to this depot.
Our logistics experts will notify you as soon as possible if your containers are affected by these measures.
