Canada removes tariffs on goods from Ukraine for one year

In May the Government of Canada announced its intention to remove remaining customs tariffs on goods from Ukraine for a period of one year.

This has now taken effect and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) issued a Customs Notice to advise of the Ukraine Goods Remission Order which became effective June 9, 2022.

Goods originate in Ukraine if their last production process, other than a minimal operation, occurred in Ukraine. The Customs Notice outlines the origin requirement details.

The Remission order will apply for a period of one year, starting on June 9, 2022.
