The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced it terminated the dumping investigation in respect of pea protein exported from China by Shandong Jianyuan Bioengineering Co., Ltd., Yantai Shuangta Food Co., Ltd., Yantai Oriental Protein Tech Co., Ltd., and Yantai Yiyuan Biological Engineering Co., Ltd., as the goods were not dumped.
The CBSA also announced it terminated the subsidy investigation in respect of pea protein exported from China by Yantai T.Full Biotech Co., Ltd. due to an insignificant amount of subsidy.
However, the CBSA has made a final determination of dumping concerning pea protein for all other exporters from China, for which the dumping investigation has not been terminated.
The CBSA has also made a final determination of subsidizing concerning pea protein for all other exporters from China, for which the subsidy investigation has not been terminated.
The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) is continuing its inquiry into the question of injury to the domestic industry and will make a finding by November 19, 2024.
Provisional duties will continue to apply on imports of subject goods until the date of the CITT’s order or finding.
However, provisional dumping and/or countervailing duties will no longer be imposed on imports of goods for which the dumping and/or subsidy investigations have been terminated.
