Further to our recent notices regarding ongoing CBSA system disruptions following the April 19, 2026 update, delays in EDI and eManifest messaging, including acknowledgements and status updates, continue to impact the timely processing of commercial messages and stakeholders’ ability to meet certain reporting requirements.
In response, CBSA has implemented a temporary suspension of Administrative Monetary Penalties (AMPS) related to affected electronic transmissions for the duration of this disruption.
Clients remain responsible for submitting required information as soon as possible to facilitate the release of goods. Any penalties believed to have been issued in error during this period may be reviewed by contacting the issuing office within 30 days, or through the CBSA Recourse process thereafter.
