The Canadian International Trade Tribunal, pursuant to a request by the Minister of Finance, has conducted a review of its threat of injury finding made on May 20, 2014, concerning the dumping of certain steel plate originating in or exported from Brazil, Denmark, Indonesia, Italy, Japan and South Korea.
On August 7, 2020, the President of the Canada Border Services Agency continued the final determination of dumping in respect of the aforementioned goods originating in or exported from South Korea with the following amendment: the termination of the dumping investigation in respect of the aforementioned goods exported from South Korea by Hyundai Steel Company.
Further to its review, the Tribunal continued the threat of injury finding in respect of the aforementioned goods, other than those exported from South Korea by Hyundai Steel Company.
This investigation was prompted by some recommendations and rulings of the Dispute Settlement Body of the World Trade Organization.
