The Canadian International Trade Tribunal announced that it continued, with amendment, its order made in August 2016 concerning the dumping/subsidizing of steel sheet and strip from four countries.
The Tribunal continued its order with respect to the dumping of flat hot-rolled carbon and alloy steel sheet and strip originating in or exported from Brazil and China and the subsidizing of such goods originating in or exported from India. The Tribunal found that the continued or resumed dumping and subsidizing of these goods were likely to result in injury. The Canada Border Services Agency will therefore continue to impose anti-dumping and countervailing duties on these products.
The Tribunal rescinded its order with respect to the dumping of such goods originating in or exported from Ukraine. The Tribunal found that the continued or resumed dumping of these goods was not likely to result in injury.
